Preparative Comb

The comb permits separations of large amounts of sample (about 150 µl) in casting tray 7-2. Ideal for isolation of protein and DNA bands from gels.

Polyacrylamide Gel Former

The gel former allows for the simple, greaseless casting of polyacrylamide gels (7.5 x 5cm) in casting tray 7-2. The acrylamide solution is pipetted under the gel former into the tray where polymerization takes place. Electrophoresis of proteins or small DNA fragments is then carried out in the PROCELL Unit.

DNA fragments from a Hae III digest of pUC18 were electrophoreses in the PROCELL on a 10% polyacrylamide gel prepared with the polyacrylamide gel former.
