The
speed range of the Spectrafuge7M can handle all of your basic microcentrifuge
needs. The fixed angle rotor accommodates twelve 1.5/2.0ml tubes directly or
0.5ml tubes with the supplied adapters. A 60-minute timer controls operation of
the centrifuge and speed selection is continuously variable to 10,000 rpm (7,176
x g). A locking mechanism prevents the lid of the centrifuge from being opened
while the rotor is spinning. The unit weighs 7 lbs and is 8.25in x 8.9in x
7.6in.
The
Spectrafuge 16 M is a high performance, brushless microcentrifuge which is
priced below most brush models. The fixed angle rotor accommodates eighteen
1.5/2.0ml tubes directly or 0.5ml tubes with the supplied adapters. Operation of
the centrifuge is controlled by a 1 to 30 minute timer ( or hold) and speed
selection is continuously variable to 14,000 rpm (16,000 x g). A locking
mechanism prevents the lid of the centrifuge from being opened while the rotor
is spinning. The unit weighs 10 lbs and is 8.25in x 8.9in x 7.6in.
This personal Mini Centrifuge
can be used to prepare serum, pellet cells and cell nuclei. The unit can even be
employed for plasmid miniprep procedures using extended run times. The
Spectrafuge Mini is supplied with rotor and adapters to accommodate 1.5 ml, 0.5
ml and 0.4 ml tubes. An on/off switch is located on the side of the Spectrafuge
Mini for starting and stopping operation. The unit requires less than 6 inches
of bench space and the maximal speed is 6,000 rpm (2,000 X g).
